Southland Academy fifth grade students in Mrs. Pam Buchanan's science class are studying rocks, minerals, and soil this quarter. The students recently participated in a CSI Soil Mystery Lab to determine what type of soil was located at a pretend crime scene. They were provided with nine different samples and a few clues for different key locations throughout the state of Georgia. The soil and materials were provided by the GSW Geology Department.   This intriguing science lab may lead to a future crime scene investigators.
