The Southland Academy fifth grade students have already begun the fall planting season.  A Tower Garden is a wonderful resource that can help educate, excite, and inspire the students.  With the Tower Garden already in their classroom, the students are preparing the seeds for a fall harvest.  Each student plants seeds in a pod that is placed on the Tower Garden.  They will water the seeds and give them appropriate light to help them grow.  Eventually, the fifth graders will welcome a new crop of vegetables that they can eat.  The students will have many STEAM related activities throughout the school year as they stay engaged in the growing process while having fun as they learn.
