The
SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) Club
is a nationally sponsored club that focuses on making
students
aware of the consequences of destructive decisions. T
The club sponsors Red Ribbon Week, which begins
October 22, 2007. This week emphasizes the
importance
of drug and alcohol awareness. The entire school takes
part,
with the elementary grades participating in a coloring
contest.
Each student will color a sheet and a winner from 4K- 1st
grade, 2nd-3rd grades, and 4th-5th
grades will be chosen.
The junior high has a poetry contest, and the high
school
competes to see who guesses the closest amount of the
red
candies in a jar.
Another program sponsored by the SADD Club is
“Prom Promise,” which helps make teens aware of the
dangers of drinking and driving.
The
SADD Club also has an annual Christmas Project.
They give gifts to the residents of the Methodist Youth Home
