Beta

The
Junior
Division of the National Beta Club was instituted on July 22,
1961. The purpose of this division is to provide "a
program of scholastic and character excellence for students in
their formative years."
Junior
Beta Club members are seventh and eighth graders.
Academic excellence is stressed, and students must attain and
maintain an overall academic average of 92. Members
participate in various projects during the year.
At
the
first meeting held October 16, officers were elected and plans
for the year discussed.
Co-sponsors for Junior Beta Club are Joan Ford and Kat
Whittaker.
