The
Southland Raider Band is made up of students from grades 7-12.
This group has many performance opportunities throughout the
year. They entertain the crowd at halftime at all football
games. They also participate in the Andersonville Historic
Fair Parade, The Plains Peanut Festival Parade, and the
Americus Christmas Parade. This group of musicians has
performed at Six Flags Over Georgia and has led the night
parade at
Magic
Kingdom
at Disney World. In festival, the band has received excellent
and superior ratings in Marching Band, Concert Band, and
sight-reading. A return trip to Disney is being planned for
the future.
