Southland Academy is proud to celebrate the Class of 2020. Southland Seniors and their families recently gathered on Southland's campus, parking their cars in the "high school" parking lot to celebrate Senior Day. The students and their families filled the parking lots and tapped their horns in celebration of the 34 seniors. Mrs. Dana Dillard and her yearbook staff presented each senior a yearbook. Mr. Humphrey read their senior plaques, the senior teachers presented a special letter, and the seniors received their prom pictures. Each of these presentations is typically held during special events with the seniors, their families, the faculty and staff, and other students attending. However, due to the pandemic regulations and guidelines handed down by the state and local authorities, the Southland Seniors were happy with the compromise. Even from the cars, laughter, smiles, and enthusiasm filled the atmosphere for a truly special evening.
